How Do I Change My In-Game Name for Rocket League?

If you would like to change your in-game name, you can do so by changing your platform name.

Keep in mind that Psyonix Support is not able to manually change or modify platform names. If you have difficulties with changing your platform name, please contact your platform directly.

Follow the steps below to get started:

Epic Games

Your email must be verified before you can change your display name. For more info, check out How Do I Verify My Email Address?

  1. Go to your Account Info page
  2. Find the Display Name box
  3. Click on the Pencil icon
  4. Type in your new Display Name
  5. Click the Confirm button
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  7. Click the Save Changes button

PlayStation

  1. Go to the Account Management page
  2. Sign in with your PlayStation Account
  3. Select your PSN Profile
  4. Click the Edit button next to your current online ID
  5. Type in your new Online ID
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions

Xbox

  1. Go to the Choose Your New Gamertag
  2. Sign in to your account
  3. Enter the new Gamertag
  4. Click the Check Availability button
  5. Click the Claim it button

Steam

  1. Open the Steam Launcher
  2. Hover your mouse over your Profile Name at the top of the browser
  3. Select Profile
  4. Click on the Edit Profile button
  5. Find the Profile Name box
  6. Type in your new Profile Name
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  8. Click the Save button

Nintendo Switch

  1. Go to the Nintendo Account website
  2. Sign in to your Nintendo Account
  3. Find the Profile box
  4. Click the Edit button
  5. Type in your new Nickname
  6. Click the Save Changes button
