How do I back up Save Data on Nintendo Switch to troubleshoot Rocket League Load Failure errors

Back up your data:

All Nintendo Switch Online members have access to automatic backups. Rocket League will automatically save to the cloud when you have an internet connection.

This setting is enabled by default. You can confirm that it is enabled by following the steps below.

  1. Select System Settings from the Main Menu.
  2. Select Data Management.
  3. Select Save Data Cloud.
  4. Select your user account.
  5. Select Settings.
  6. Select Automatic Save-Data Backup.
  7. Switch this feature to ON if it is off.

Disable Automatic Save-Data Download to prevent the existing Cloud backup from being copied to your console:

This will let Rocket League create a new save file.

  1. Select System Settings from the Main Menu.
  2. Select Data Management.
  3. Select Save Data Cloud.
  4. Select your user account.
  5. Select Settings.
  6. Select Automatic Save-Data Download.
  7. Switch this feature to OFF
