Why do I get an error when connecting with Epic Online Services in Rocket League?

You may see a Checking Privileges message followed by the error Having problems communicating with the Epic Online Services.

We are working on a fix for this issue.

You may be able to solve the issue by making sure your platform’s date and time settings are correct:

PC

  1. Start your PC.
  2. Right-Click on the Time in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  3. Select Adjust Date/Time.
  4. Turn on the Set Time Automatically button.
  5. Click the Sync Now button.

PlayStation

  1. Start your PlayStation.
  2. Open the Settings app from the main menu.
  3. Select Date and Time.
  4. Check the box next to Adjust Daylight Saving Automatically.
    Note: If the box is checked, uncheck it, check it again, then restart the console.

Xbox

  1. Start your Xbox.
  2. Open the Settings app from the main menu.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select Time.
  5. Check the box next to Automatically adjust for daylight saving time.
    Note: If the box is checked, uncheck it, check it again, then restart the console.

Nintendo Switch

  1. Start your Nintendo Switch.
  2. Open the System Settings from the main menu.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select Date and Time.
  5. Select Synchronize Clock Via Internet.
  6. Press OK.

If you still get the error message, you may have an inactive Epic Games account. Follow the steps below to determine if your Epic Games account is inactive.

Verify if you can sign in to your Epic Games account:

  1. Go to the Epic Games Store.
  2. Click Sign In.
  3. Sign in to your Epic Games Account.

If you are still unable to log in, your account is inactive.
